About The Carnegie Club

In a secluded corner of the Northern Highlands lies Skibo Castle, Scotland's best kept secret. Industrialist Andrew Carnegie, one of history's greatest philanthropists, came to Skibo in 1898 and transformed the estate into what he rightly termed 'Heaven on Earth'.

With 8,000 acres of majestic highland landscape there is something for everyone at Skibo Castle. Zorbing, swimming, tennis, clay pigeon shooting, fishing, archery and the luxurious Skibo Spa. After a long day enjoying bespoke itineraries, guests can choose how they would like to receive their meals - at the Clubhouse, in the private dining room, service at their lodge or at the hosted dinner.

While you are at Skibo Castle. Members can simply sit back, relax and enjoy all that this venue has to offer.

Executive chef Craig Rowland wanted a wow factor for the Carnegie golf club restaurant and after a visit to the factory and extensive testing he decided on the Trofeo oven but then threw a curveball in that he wanted different cooking temperatures in the same oven to be able to roast vegetables, meat and fish and also have the ability to cook to order delicious woodfired pizzas if the members so wished.  The factory obliged and the result is a unique baby oven fitted with the patented Su & Giu system which allows the cooking stone to be lifted higher into the oven resulting in different cooking temperatures in the same oven.
