Charcoa grills are a range of heavy duty commercial charcoal grills, manufactured for the discerning operator; each grill is hand crafted in Northern Spain, incorporating manual or motorised lifting systems to the grilling areas, with optional motorised rotating skewer systems. Our grills have heatproof glass doors for easy access to load and move charcoal, and for maximum visual appeal for your customers. Truly impressive when installed for front-of-house viewing and show-cooking. A range of unique features are built into each of our charcoal grills, with a range of standard and bespoke sizes available, low level or enclosed cabinet designs.
Cooking over hot embers is one of the oldest cooking methods known. Charcoal is mostly pure carbon, made by cooking wood in a low-oxygen environment, a process that can take days and burns off volatile compounds such as water, methane, hydrogen and tar. The process leaves black lumps and powder, about 25% of the original weight. Charcoal burns steadily, hot and produces less smoke and fewer dangerous vapours. The process of making charcoal is ancient, with archaeological evidence of charcoal production going back about 30,000 years.
Commercial charcoal is found in either lump, briquette or extruded forms: Lump charcoal tends to produce a more smokey flavour, because larger pieces may not be fully carbonised; Mesquite or Hickory charcoal makes little difference in flavour to your product; to get a woody flavour, you can add wood to the fire. The Charcoa charcoal grills have perfected this to suit today’s needs with a controllable, user-friendly, modern design, manufactured to the highest standards, allowing for the rigours of heavy duty use.
